'Sunny' Dam: Am/Can/Bda Ch Fantail's Snowboots April 29, 1979 - February 23, 1989
So much has been written about the amazing show career of this great dog.
In the December 1989 Issue of Dogs in Canada he was declared the Top Dog, All Breeds, All-Time, in the history of Canadian dog shows!!! His accomplishments were so spectacular that there is some doubt that his record will ever be topped. He achieved the highest point total ever earned by a Canadian "Top Dog" (19,930) and the greatest number of Best in Show wins of any top dog in Canadian history--a career total of 53 Best in Shows, and 38 of them won during the 1982 season. In his early years Sunny was always shown by Frank. He and Carole are firm believers that dogs should only be shown in peak 'condition' and to this end Sunny has always been road worked and excerised every day. The hard work has been worth it when Sunny won his first Best in Show (with Frank on the lead) under the well - known movement/anatomy expert, Quentin LaHam. Frank was also on the lead when Sunny won the E.S.C.C. "National" pictured above. Garrett Lambert Sunny was the sire of 8 litters in Canada and the United States with many, many Canadian and American Champion offspring resulting. He also has BIS & Specialty winning Grandchildren.
